Where Brent O'Mara Publishes
His WordPress site, his Blogger blog and his Medium page, named and linked in one place, and nothing else.
Brent O’Mara writes about planning for business owners and families on Medium, on his Blogger blog and on his WordPress site. Those three channels, linked below, are the places this site points to for his writing, and each is his own. Every piece on them has a reference entry in the bibliography.
Regulatory paperwork about advisory firms is a different kind of document and is kept off this page. Financial Planning reported in 2010 that the Securities and Exchange Commission redesigned the brochure part of Form ADV so that an advisory firm’s services, fees, strategies and conflicts are described in plain narrative with a table of contents rather than in check boxes.1 Investor.gov describes Form CRS, the relationship summary that advisers and brokers must deliver when a relationship begins, and offers a free search tool for finding any firm’s copy.2 AARP and partner groups found in 2018, after interviewing consumers in three cities, that readers of the draft summaries still could not explain the difference between an adviser’s fiduciary duty and a broker’s suitability obligation.3 Those forms exist for every registered firm and are found through the sources above; this page lists the places he publishes.
